The process of estimating and mixing ingredients or materials to prepare concrete mix is known as batching of concrete. Batching can be done by two methods, volume batching and weight batching. Batching should be done with at most care to get superior quality concrete mix.
Werner Finley Chillers are highly suitable for concrete batching plant application since we customize our design by understanding the process requirement. The chillers are designed to operate at highly dusty batching sites, working directly under extreme weather condition. The major components in the refrigeration circuits are designed as per the site conditions.
The most common method of controlling the temperature of the cement hydration is by using cooled hydration water. By incorporating cool water from the start, the process has a greater ability to absorb heat. The lower starting point helps to reduce dehydration and increase cohesion of the final product.
Werner Finley chillers for concrete batching application are designed to maintain the water at the desired temperature with stability up to +/-0.1 deg C. Liquid refrigerant enters one side of the heat exchanger and absorbs heat from the batch water flowing on the other side. The refrigeration process runs continuously, with the water exiting the chiller at the desired process temperature. Once cooled, the water immediately blends with the mixture of cement and aggregate. Our chillers are available from a wide range of 20 TR to 120 TR.
